Before being part of the Web 2.0 it seemed to me I was never using it, neither as a learner nor as a teacher, because it was too much for me, for my class. I am working with my students and it is not impossible. At first, they felt insecure, since it was new for them, but once they started creating, designing and using their own blogs to show their digital identities, they felt free to share with the world who they are. We are using texts, videos, and now I have read about “Elgg social networks software for education ” I am planning to call their creativity by using photos for a discussion, or we could work on a podcast. It sounds too much work, actually it is. However, I never forget it is a process and I know it takes longer than a month to reach those goals, but that will be amazing, as my students will be developing different language skills: listening, reading, writing, and now THAT I am just planning to learn with the podcast, they will be able to practice their speaking as well. Most importantly, they are learning to learn as a group, they are sharing and helping each other. I am not really concerned about time, because as I said before, learning is a process, writing, reading, speaking, sharing are endless processes, but fortunately, Web 2.0 is beyond the end of semesters and classrooms walls.
